Business Impact Group is committed to conducting its business affairs in a socially responsible and ethical manner consistent with all applicable national and local legal requirements and published industry standards pertaining to employment and manufacturing.
BIG is not a manufacturer, therefore we rely on a group of carefully selected supplier partners. It is our position that we maintain just and fair working conditions throughout our business, and we require that our suppliers to do the same.
BIG has adopted the PPAI Code of Conduct as a public statement of our commitment to social responsibility, environmental sustainability and product safety, especially within the promotional product and marketing industry. Click Here to Learn More
BIG strives to adhere to a strict Code of Business Conduct and conform to the standards listed below:
BIG does not knowingly partner with suppliers that use any type of forced labor, whether in the form of prison labor, indentured labor, bonded labor, or otherwise.
BIG does not employ any full time person under the age of 18 years old. The use of child labor by suppliers is also strictly prohibited.
Harassment or Abuse
At BIG every employee is treated with dignity and respect. No employee shall be subject to any physical, sexual, psychological, or verbal harassment or abuse.
Wages and Benefits
BIG pays all employees at least minimum wage as required by all applicable local laws and provides all legally mandated benefits. In fact, all new employees start at a wage well over the state mandated minimum wage.
Hours of Work
Except in extraordinary business circumstances, BIG employees do not work more than either (a) the limits on regular or overtime hours allowed by local law; or (b) on average, 40 hours per week, inclusive of overtime.
In addition to compensation for regular hours of work, all BIG employees are compensated for overtime hours at such premium rate as is legally required by law.
Health and Safety
All BIG employees shall be provided with a safe and healthy working environment to prevent accidents and injury to health arising out of, linked with, or occurring in the course of work or as a result of the operation of BIG facilities.
Our fulfillment centers are OSHA compliant in all areas, and we have never failed an inspection. Our Fulfillment Center employees are tested and certified as heavy equipment operators.
BIG utilizes state-of-the-art equipment called WAVES to pick our fulfillment orders. These machines virtually eliminate the need for manual picking from the floor or ladders, thus greatly reducing any risk of injury associated with a manual process.
To further ensure safety of our front office employees, the fulfillment center is a lock down facility. This measure allows us to limit the use of heavy equipment to only those who are fully trained, thereby reducing the risk of associated accidents. Employees without access permission may be allowed to enter only under supervision by management in the facility.
Compliance Reporting System
BIG has established a compliance reporting tool to enhance communication within the company, and to provide employees, suppliers and clients with a means to anonymously communicate any concerns or potential violations with BIG management team. Need to report a complaint or suspected violation? Use BIG’s confidential Compliance Reporting System.
