DEI
Diversity, Equity & Inclusion:
DEI, which stands for diversity, equity, and inclusion, is extremely important to Business Impact Group (BIG). As a company, BIG recognizes that diversity brings unique perspectives, ideas, and talents to the table. Inclusion ensures that everyone’s voice is heard and valued, regardless of their background or identity. Equity ensures that everyone has access to the same opportunities and resources, regardless of their race, gender, sexual orientation, or any other aspect of their identity.
BIG understands that promoting DEI in the workplace is the right thing to do and positively impacts the bottom line. Studies have shown that diverse teams are more innovative, make better decisions, and are more productive. In addition, companies that prioritize DEI have been shown to have better financial performance and higher employee retention rates.
To demonstrate its commitment to DEI, BIG has implemented various initiatives and programs. For example, BIG has a leadership committee that meets monthly. It is during these meetings that Succession Planning, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are part of the monthly agenda. This leadership team is responsible for implementing and promoting the DEI initiatives within the company. As a follow-up safeguard to ensure that no employee slips through the cracks, BIG’s HR Dept. also regularly conducts interviews with employees to raise awareness and make sure our DEI strategy is working and we are achieving the desired results.
Succession Planning:
At BIG, we believe that people make the company not the other way around. Our culture celebrates not only progressive succession planning for each team member but also recognizes the importance of diversity, equality, and inclusion throughout our enterprise. We dedicate resources and policies that are committed to the improvement of our team members.
For starters, almost 50% of BIG’s leadership team is made up of extraordinary woman leaders who are amongst the brightest and most talented in our industry. They bring their expertise and vision to key areas of our business as they influence progress and change within our enterprise. BIG’s diversified workforce is comprised of many cultures, education levels, and military backgrounds. Our open-door policy is that anyone and everyone should have an opportunity to apply for open employment opportunities within our organization. We are very proud to say that over 99% of our middle or upper management positions are filled by our existing team members within our workplace.
I am proud to be part of an amazing organization that has its sights and priorities in order.

Sustainability / Carbon Footprint:
We decided to harness the power of our employee engagement technology to transform transactions into eco-action. Today, in partnership with a few of our key suppliers, we have achieved the goal of planting 5 million trees in just 12 months. It’s a great start… but it’s still only a start. Next up 10 million trees!
Why trees? Recent science shows that one effective way to reduce greenhouse gas is to plant more trees and restore vital forests. While the science of climate change is complex, this solution is remarkably simple. Trees naturally absorb and store dangerous carbon. In fact, just one tree can remove up to 48 lbs. of carbon every year.
