Prior to partnering with BIG in 2024, branded merchandise purchasing was decentralized across multiple platforms, creating challenges around brand consistency, employee access, and program management.

The Challenge

Cox wanted a single destination for branded merchandise that could support employees across the organization while improving brand governance and simplifying purchasing.

Key objectives included:

  • Consolidating multiple merchandise programs into one platform
  • Creating a trend-forward assortment employees would be excited to wear
  • Supporting nine Employee Resource Groups without inventory complexity
  • Building a scalable platform for onboarding, campaigns, and future growth

The Solution

BIG developed a centralized e-commerce platform powered by a hybrid fulfillment model that combines in-stock inventory with on-demand production. The solution supports nine Employee Resource Groups, onboarding initiatives, seasonal campaigns, and a growing assortment of branded merchandise while minimizing inventory risk and operational complexity.

To create a more authentic employee experience, the platform features real Cox employees modeling the merchandise throughout the site. Beyond the digital experience, Cox extended the program into its physical campuses by creating retail-inspired window displays that showcase featured collections, Employee Resource Groups, and seasonal merchandise throughout the year.
